A 26-year-old Onarga man faces drug trafficking charges following a weekend traffic stop near Rantoul. Ethan Dufrain allegedly had about 3 pounds of cannabis in a car when Illinois State police made the stop on I-57 Sunday afternoon.

Dufrain was stopped for speeding. He was driving a rental car, according to police. A backback with three bags of cannabis was found inside.

The offense could lead up to seven years in prison, if convicted.
