Sheriff's Police in Parke County, IN report two people are dead after a small plane crash Monday morning.

Around 10 am the small, single engine aircraft crashed in a wooded area near Butler Airfield, a private airport about 2 miles south of Rockville. Both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash along with the National Transportation Safety Board. NTSB stated the crash involved a Cessna 150 and the accident was during take-off.
