Indiana Counties Finally Complete 911 Texting Initiative

(Indianapolis, IN) -- Everyone in the state of Indiana should now be able to text an emergency to 9-1-1. Indiana's Statewide 9-1-1 Board director Ed Reuter said last week that all 92 counties are now ready to accept texts. It's been four years since Indiana first authorized 9-1-1 boards to start to make the switch. Reuter says the state gets about 500 to 600 9-1-1 texts each day. {Metro News}
