30-year-old Stephen Pluchinsky of Demotte, IN and 30-year-old Tiffany Gertz of Crown Point face felony charges after police found them at a rural Indiana home.

Both suspects are being held charged with auto theft, burglary and resisting law enforcement.

Jasper County Sheriff’s Police responded to a suspicious activity report at a residence near State Road 10 and I-65 today (Friday). A vehicle in the driveway led to the police report. Sheriff’s Police and Demotte officers found a car reported stolen from Crown Point.

The home’s owner told police no one had permission to be in the house, which was under construction.

The two suspects told police they were homeless and entered the house looking for clothing and to take a shower.
