A 78-year-old Watseka man was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle head-on colission north of Crescent City.  It happened on Route 49 at Iroquois County Road 2300 N.

John Weber turned into the path of an SUV, which was travelling with two other vehicles.  The SUV was carrying a family of five.  All were taken by ambulance to Riverside Hospital.  Their conditions were unknown.

Illinois State Police handled the investigation.  Coronor Bill Cheatum said an autopsy is planned today (Monday).  The victim may have been on his way home after visiting several Memorial Day services in the area.
