The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service announced a $2-million agreement with the Johns Hopkins University to study ways to improve the USDA’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, or WIC. The agency said they're looking to improve retention of eligible kids. The school will select a number of local agencies to work with through a national competition.
