Heavy damage was reported to a two-story home on South Third Avenue in Kankakee Tuesday afternoon. Kankakee Fire Chief Damon Schuldt said no one was home at the time. No injury was reported.

A family of five was displaced. The Red Cross is assisting the two adults and three children who lived there.

The investigation into the cause continues.
