A 48-year-old Momence man was identified as the victim of a fatal crash near Grant Park in Kankakee County.  John Martin died in the 2-car crash Sunday.  It happened near 7000 N and 8700 E Road.

Martin was pronounced dead at the scene by County Coroner Bob Gessner. The accident was reported just after 1 pm

The second driver was air-lifted to a Chicago area hospital. An Illinois State Police Reconstruction Team is investigating.

School provides grief counselors for classmates

A high school student died in a four-wheeler crash on Saturday afternoon. Officials say 14-year-old Kloe Weiss was driving an all-terrain vehicle with a passenger when she lost control of the ATV. Both of them were thrown off. Weiss died on the scene. The other unnamed passenger was transferred to OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.  She was treated and released.

The Clinton school district invited classmates to visit with grief counselors. The DeWitt County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of the incident.
