Beaverville home total loss in fire

An early-morning fire in Beaverville (Saturday) destroyed a mobile home. The State Fire Marshall is investigating, but officials report the cause does not appear to be suspicious in nature.

No injury was reported. The home’s occupant, Sandra Doll, was treated for smoke inhalation. She escaped the home with her pets. The mobile home was at 2532 E and 3250 N Road.

Nearly a dozen area fire departments answered a box-alarm after the initial call came in about 4:30 am.

Beaverville Fire Chief Jason Brammer reported 10 departments were at the scene. (Beaverville, Martinton, Donovan, Papineau, Chebanse Township, Concord, Pembrook, St. Anne, Watseka and Morocco, IN).
