Snow cover leads to accidents, school delays

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution today after overnight snow left 2-4 inches on the ground. Snow plows were out and about this morning. Main routes have been cleared while some rural roads were still snow covered.
Illinois State Police reported slide-offs along I-57 and I-72 and I-74.

The forecast calls for a cloudy Wednesday. Temps are expected in the low to mid 20s.

West-central parts of Indiana were snowy and slick this morning. The Benton School Corporation was operating on a two-hour delay. Delays were also reported in Fountain, Warren and Vermilion County schools in Indiana.
