Iroquois County flood help still available

The City of Watseka's flood debris pickup ended yesterday (Friday). But those who still have items to be picked up can contact City Hall this next week – if there's still debris to be thrown away.

The snowfall this week may have inconvenienced some people, so Public Works crews will make make an effort to complete any details this coming week, according to Mayor Bob Harwood.

Damage assessments are still being collected too. Property owners with water damage, who maybe didn't yet submit information, can contact with the Emergency Management Agency office at 815-432-6997.

The damage assessments are needed in the attempt to apply for federal assistance.

Clean-up kits are also still available from the Iroquois County Long Term Recovery Committee. And the Recovery Committee welcomes any donations to help flood victims.
