A 3-unit apartment fire displaced three families in Kankakee this (Friday) morning. One person was taken to an area hospital. The cause is being investigated.
Fire Chief Bryan LaRoche reports Bradley, Bourbonnais and Limestone fire departments provided mutual aid to E. Station Street about 2:35 am. Apartment units at 659, 659 ½ and 661 were affected. Working smoke alarms were involved in assisting the residents.
