Cissna Park American Legion 527 will conduct the 2021 National Remembrance ceremony for Wreaths Across America at 11 am Saturday.  Ceremonal wreaths will be placed on the graves of veterans at area cemeteries. Volunteers from Crescent City will distribute 80 wreaths to St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery (south of Crescent City on Route 49), then visit  Flesher Cemetery to place 40 wreaths, followed by visits to Wilson and Pierce cemeteries. A total of 155 wreaths will be placed for veterans in the four local cemeteries.

Anyone who ordered wreaths which need to be picked up may do so after 1 pm Saturday at the Richard Gocken residence in Crescent City.

The Cissna Park American Legion and Crescent City volunteers extend a 'thank you' to all who purchased wreaths for their family veterans and those who generously donated. A special thanks is extended to local businesses who supported the project.

Crescent City volunteers who will place the wreaths at the four cemeteries include Richard Gocken, Klint Hall, Jim Sorensen, Bill Weakley, Dean Storm, Glenn Mennenga and Roland Munsterman.
