Kankakee police report the weekend shooting death of 25-year-old Luis Martinez is being investigated as a homicide. Autopsy results showed Martinez suffered at least one gunshot wound. He was found dead Sunday at a residence on Hickory Street.

It marked the fifth homicide in the City of Kankakee this year.
