The Kankakee County Board Tuesday voted to move the State’s Attorney’s office back the courthouse. It was talked about in committee over the last month.
State’s Attorney Jim Rowe said moving back to the courthouse would save over $100,000 annually. Board Chairman Andy Wheeler adds, “this is screaming of common sense” to make this move back to the courthouse.
The county has been paying for rental space on N. Schuyler Avenue.
The move could be completed by June 1.
