Four mayoral candidate forums were held Thursday night in Kankakee County. The Civic Auditorium in Kankakee was the setting for candidates from Bradley, Bourbonnais, Grant Park, and Momence.

The candidates addressed their respective strong points in their communities while also talking about issues that need attention too.

The city of Watseka’s mayoral candidates will each get a chance to speak next Thursday (March 23) at a noon luncheon sponsored by the Iroquois County Republican Women’s Club. The program is at Celebrations.

The Kankakee County branch of the NAACP is hosting forums at tzhe Kankakee Public Library next week. Kankakee school district #111 board candidates will talk issues at 5:15 pm Tuesday. The three Kankakee mayoral candidates step to the podium at 6:45 pm.
