Vermilion County has new leaders in place to lead the Republican Party. Former Party Chairman Mike Marron is returning to that position, and the new Vice Chairman is State Representative Chad Hays.

The new leaders were elected during a meeting of the Vermilion County Republican Central Committee over the weekend.

Joel Bird of Hoopeston was picked to fill the vacancy in County Board District 1. The vacancy came about when Darren Duncan was appointed County Treasurer.
