A Savoy man who admitted his role in the holdup of a fast-food restaurant in Gilman has been sentenced to six years in prison.
21-year-old Tevaughn Brownlee was sentenced to the state’s boot camp program. Iroquois County Judge James Kinzer agreed to recommend boot camp after Brownlee pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated robbery. A more serious charge of armed robbery was dismissed.
He admitted using a "bludgeon" to hold up an employee of the McDonald's on December 28.
