We’re waiting for updates from emergency responders in Kankakee County concerning missing Olivet Nazarene University student Sheila Khalili (kuh-lee-Lee). The 27-year-old from Schaumburg hasn’t been seen or heard from since last Friday morning.

Her car may have been discovered early today (Thursday) in a water-filled ditch along NB I-57 between Bourbonnais and Manteno. There has not been a positive ID on the car or whether anyone was inside the vehicle.

Dive teams were called in. State Police and National Guard helicopters were in the air Wednesday, north of Kankakee, assisting in the search.
