Three farm tractors were among the items lost in a tool shed fire Thursday at a property site in rural Crescent City. An 80 by 20 foot structure at 1568E and 2250N was gutted. Corn and soybean seed was also lost. No injury to report.

Crescent-Iroquois Fire Chief Scott Schroeder said the fire appeared to be electrical. Firemen from Crescent City, Ashkum, Danforth and Watseka were on the scene about three hours.

Onarga firemen had mutual aid support from Buckley, Gilman and Ford-Iroquois (Thawville) in fighting a fire at the clubhouse at Shagbark Country Club.

The electrical fire did extensive damage to the clubhouse’s north end. There was heavy smoke and heat damage. The state fire Marshall is investigating.
