Heather Lamie wants new trial

A convicted child-killer is asking the court for a new trial. Heather LaMie, formerly of Cullom, was found guilty for the 2011 death of a foster-child staying with her family.

Four-year-old Kianna Rudisill was the victim. During the 2015 trial, doctors testified that Rudisiil died of blunt force trauma to the head. LaMie was sentenced to life in prison.

Lamie is petitioning the court for a new trial, claiming her attorney didn’t do an adequate job in her defense.
