3 Local High School Seniors Awarded Scholarships

Two high school seniors from Iroquois County and one from Ford County have each been awarded a $2,000 scholarship from Farm Credit Illinois to pursue an agriculture-related degree and career.

Those students receiving scholarships are:

Wyatt Claire of Watseka, who will graduate from Watseka Community High School and attend Lake Land College in the agriculture transfer program.

Sara Edgar of Gibson City, who will graduate from GCMS High School and attend Colorado State University to study agricultural literacy.

Anthony “Tony” Dupuis of Chebanse, who will graduate from Clifton Central High School and attend Joliet Junior College to study animal sciences.

Farm Credit Illinois agriculture scholarship program has awarded more than $340,000 to 299 students since 2004.
