Parke County, IN welcomes covered bridge visitors

Thousands of visitors will flock to Parke County, Indiana beginning today (Friday) for the annual Covered Bridge Festival. It’s one of the most popular attractions each fall in the Hoosier state. The 10-day run will continue thru Sunday, October 22.

Visitors are asked to be patient. There’s a lot of traffic.
The festival headquarters is in Rockville, but several small towns around the county offer a wide range of activities and opportunities for food, fun and shopping. Vendors of all kinds display their wares.

People from all over the world visit the festival. The Covered Bridge festival organizers are expecting upwards of 2-million people during the 10-day run.
