Detective Lacie Zingre Harsy has made history in the Kankakee City Police Department.  She was recently promoted to Sergeant.  Sergeant Harsy is a 7-year veteran with the department and was assigned to investigations prior to her promotion.  She's a certified lead homicide investigator having received numerous awards throughout her years of service.  She started her career as a patrol officer in 2013.  

Kankakee Police Chief Frank Kosman said "Lacie has been an asset to the city police department in her previous assignments.  We expect her experience, knowledge and strong work ethic to suit her well for further success in her new position as a supervisor."
