Of more than 46,000 COVID-19 tests conducted in the latest report from public health officials, there were fewer than 1,400 positive cases. That’s the lowest number of positive cases since Sept. 9. The state reports it’s vaccinated nearly 3.4 percent of the state’s population with more than 430,000 residents getting both doses of the available vaccine.
Drive-Up Vaccines Favored --
More than half, or 53 percent of those polled in Illinois would rather have a drive-thru vaccine appointment than a walk-in one, according to a poll released by Quantrell Subaru. A statement about the poll said Illinois aligned with much of the U.S. which found 55 percent would prefer drive-through vaccinations.
