All of East Central Illinois is under a dense fog advisory until 10 am. The NWS says the advisory includes Ford and Iroquois counties, Champaign, Vermilion, Coles, DeWitt, Douglas, Edgar, Macon, Moultrie, Piatt and Shelby counties.

Visibility is expected to be one quarter of a mile or less and areas that are below freezing could also accrue a thin layer of ice on untreated surfaces.

Meanwhile, most of the area remains under a winter weather advisory.

Light freezing rain is expected with ice accumulation expected to be less than one-tenth of an inch.
