State Representative Lindsay Parkhurst announced her committee assignments for the 101st General Assembly. Included are appointments to the two standing judiciary committees, Civil and Criminal.
“During the last General Assembly, the judiciary committees considered several pieces of legislation on a wide range of issues. I look forward to offering my own expertise and experience as a practicing lawyer to these committees as we consider important civil and criminal matters,” Rep. Parkhurst stated.
In addition, Rep. Parkhurst was appointed to the Committee on Transportation; Roads and Bridges, Prescription Drug Affordability & Accessibility Committee, Public Safety Appropriations Committee, and the Child Care Accessibility & Early Childhood Education Committee.
“My priority in Springfield is the 79th District,” Parkhurst added. “The Kankakee area and the 79th District play major roles in Illinois’ status as a transportation hub. I will use my positions on these committees to work together with my colleagues to move the 79th District, and our state, forward.
