IMH RANKED IN THE TOP 15% NATIONWIDE BY MEDICARE INVALUE BASED PURCHASING PROGRAM

Iroquois Memorial Hospital is ranked in the top 15% by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in their July 2015 Value Based Purchasing Report card.

"We are very excited to be ranked in the top 15% of over 3,500 hospitals nationwide and second out of area hospitals," said IMH Nurse Lead Leslie Cottrell. There are several factors that go into determining IMH's ranking. Some of those factors include HCAHPS scores, clinical outcomes, and efficiency.

Hospital Value-Based Purchasing is independently measured by CMS as a part of their long-standing effort to link Medicare's payment system to a value-based system to improve healthcare quality. Hospitals in the program are paid for inpatient acute care services based on the quality of care, not just quantity of the services they provide.
