There's more Route 1 construction work slowing traffic in Iroquois County.  About six miles of the route, from north of Watseka to the Pittwood area, is down to a single lane.  Construction cones have motorists diverted from the northbound to the southbound lane today (Wednesday 8/19).

The work zone begins north of the Route 1 bridge project, already limiting traffic to a single-lane. 

Motorists need to show some patience and slow it down.
