The Iroquois County Board (Tuesday) voted to forward the forensic audit of computers from the former Ford-Iroquois Public Health Department to the State's Attorney for review.
Iroquois County State's Attorney Jim Devine tells WGFA News "because I represent the county and the health department, I will turn it over to a special prosecutor for a fresh look at the matter."
The Garrett Discovery Company of Decatur completed an audit of computers used by employees of the disbanded-health department. The audit revealed personal business on several computers, including online shopping sites and porn sites.
Select County Board members have wanted to pursue charges against those employees responsible for the computer use on taxpayers time.
Devine has said before, poor office management is not criminal activity, BUT HE WILL HAVE THE MATTER REVIEWED.
