Busted up streets, barricaded-closed roads can certainly frustrate motorists, but it's also part of the formula for an improved future. And – in Watseka, infrastructure improvement projects are just that – a focus on better times ahead.
It all takes time. But it is happening in different sections of the city.
City Public Works Director Marvin DeLahr informed the Public Works committee (Tuesday) that after delays in flood clean-up and recovery efforts, some of the infrastructure work is resuming. Sewer improvements and pot-hole patching has to be completed. It's hoped better weather conditions and resource supplies will keep progress moving forward.
