The Kelly Circus visits Watseka Wednesday, August 26. The tent goes up on the grounds of the old Roff House on Sheridan Avenue.
The circus is coming here courtesy of the Modern Woodmen of America/local agent Bernie Markley.
The Iroquois County Historical Society and the Old Courthouse Museum will be the recipients of the matching grant this year.
Before the circus arrives, the clown will visit various nursing homes, assisted living homes and independent living homes in the area. These stops will be open to the public and everyone is invited to stop by during one of his visits to witness his silly antics.
Two performances are scheduled on August 26 – one at 4:30 pm and the other at 7:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased before the day of the circus at a discounted price from Bernie Markley and at area banks and businesses.
