The Kankakee County jury hearing the case of 36-year-old Carmella Larson found her guilty on four of six counts of aggravated DUI, for causing the death of a 15-year-old boy and injuring his brother.
The jury (Friday) convicted Larson for the DUI crash which happened in May of 2016 on Route 17 at 19,000 W Road.
Kameron Allison was killed. His brother (Kyuss) was seriously injured. Both were students at Herscher High School.
The jury returned a not guilty verdict of causing great bodily injury to Nathan Lockhart, who was a passenger in Larson’s car the night of the crash.
Larson faces up to 14 years in jail. She remains free on bail. The case was heard by Judge Ronald Gerts.
