St. Anne officials contemplate future of Pumpkin Festival

It’s been a 3-day event for 30 years in St. Anne. And it’s always been a lot of fun. The popular St. Anne Pumpkin Festival will need blood to keep it going.

“ It’s been a show-off event --- many communities can hang their hat on their own such-event, fun and friendly people inviting all to share in the local glory of a great home-town blast”

Local residents Bob Hubert and Barb Deneau have been coordinators for the event for years. They’ve decided it’s time to step aside. The hope is some younger people are ready to take over.

The community has a public meeting scheduled for 7 pm Monday at Village Hall. The meeting will hopefully find an influx of community interest to keep the festival going.
Hubert says all are welcome to offer ideas.
