Illinois State University’s student newspaper published its final print edition of "The Vidette." The student paper had been published in print form for 133 years. Declining print revenues in recent years had pused the publication to becoming an all-digital platform. Vidette General Manager John Plevka said the pandemic and rapidly-advancing technology played into the decision to publish entirely online. Plevka said though, there’s still plenty of room to grow. Plevka called it "a transition. The Vidette has been invented and reinvented several times over history. This is another one of those reinventions, and the students will make it happen.
