One person was killed in a crash in Newton County, IN Friday night. Sheriff's police report it happened around 10:15 pm at the intersection of U.S. 41 and County Road 950 North.

A car driven eastbound by a 17-year-old man from Tinley Park, IL crossed the north bound lanes of U.S. 41. The driver failed to stop for a semi headed northbound and was killed in the crash.

The 47-year-old semi driver from Morroco refused medical treatment at the scene.

Names of the drivers are not being released at this time.
