The Village of Manteno, the Manteno Police Department, the Manteno Community Fire Protection District, and the Manteno Chamber of Commerce are working together to provide a resource of education, entertainment, and engagement for residents.

The program first started off as the Senior Safety Program in 2010. Over time, the program has evolved to offer a variety of topics to residents of all ages.

The program kicks off March 20 at 9am with “Meet the Mayor” at the Manteno Public Library. Mayor Tim Nugent will give a brief update on the Village happenings as well as updates on Kankakee County.

The program will run through October with a different topic each month and will be held at the Leo Hassett Community Center with the exception of the kick-off March session. Complimentary pastries and coffee provided.
