Four fire departments responded to a house fire in Elliott (Tuesday) where a man was found dead inside. Jeremy Turner was identified by Ford County Coroner Rick Flessner.

The State Fire Marshall was investigating. The cause of the fire at 203 N. Maple Street hadn’t been determined.
Elliott firefighters were assisted by Roberts, Melvin and Gibson City departments.

Flames and smoke were observed coming from the home when firemen answered the call at 10:20 am. The victim was pronounced dead just past 11 am. The house was a total loss.
