Two separate shootings in Kankakee Friday and Saturday left six people wounded.

City detectives are investigating. No arrests have been made.

The Daily-Journal reports one person was injured in a shooting in the 900 block of East Mulberry Street.

Five people were injured Friday night after two shooters began firing at a group of people in the 300 block of North Wildwood Avenue.

Police said the shootings did not appear to be related.
