The Glenn Raymond School Science Olympiad Team competed at the Illinois State Science Olympiad Competition on Saturday at the University of Illinois.
The team consists of 15 students and 11 alternates competing in 23 different events and 5 trial events. The team earned a 13th Place as a team in the state and brought home medals in 6 events and finished in the top ten in 7 other events.
Claire Curry and Raegan Gooding took home state championship honors in Science Crimebusters.
Jordan Schroeder and Adam Norder earned a state championship in Mystery Architecture.
Mitchell Galyen and Zakkary Clark took 3rd place in the tower competition. It was Mitchell's second straight state medal in this event.
Caitlin Corzine and Andrew Heuring took 5th place in Herpetology.
Jackie Lynch and Andrew Heuring took 5th place in Disease Detectives.
Bella Yarneau and Sophia Scott earned 5th place medals in the Density trial event.
