Harris is a member of the Damage exceeded $50,000 when fire broke out in the upstairs of home in Brook, IN Sunday night.  The occupant, Robert Harris, was treated for smoke inhalation.  He was taken to Fransciscan Health in Rensselaer for observation.  

Harris is a member of the Brook-Iroquois Township Volunteer Fire Department. 

Brook Fire Chief Kyle Conrad reports firefighters discovered a working fire in the upstairs of the home.  The flames were contained to the second floor with water damage to both floors.  Firemen from Brook and Goodland were at the scene about 90 minutes. No other injury was reported. The cause was under investigation.
