A 21-year-old U of I student was identified (Thursday) as the victim of a fatal traffic crash north of Manteno.

Jason Sinnick of Lisle (IL) was interning at Van Drunen Farms in Kankakee County. He suffered fatal injuries in the early-morning accident near County Line Road.

Emergency responders reported Sinnick was southbound on Will Center Road east of Illinois Route 50 when he drove into the T-intersection at County Line Road. A westbound semi drove straight into the car.

The morning fog could have been a factor in the crash, which occurred around 6:30 am.
