Day #2 of the 2018 Kankakee County Fair (Thursday) included the annual Ag Professional Breakfast.  Scott Novack of the Cypress Creek Renewables spoke about the company's effort to grab the attention of Illinois, to make clean, affordable solar power available to communities nationwide.

Kankakee County has a lot of interest.

Novack told the audience Illinois has 76-million acres of farmland.  Just 30,000 acres would ever be involved with solar by the year 2025.

Several neighboring counties are involved with solar and wind farm discussions.
