Semi-train colission in Iroquois County

The driver of a semi was treated for non-life threatening injuries after his semi was hit by a freight train Friday in rural Iroquois County.

36-year-old Joseph Freeman of DeKalb failed to stop at the railroad crossing at County Roads 600 N and 1800 E.  The box trailer portion of the semi was struck by the Union Pacific train, which was headed southwest at a private drive, according to Sheriff's Police.

Cissna Park Fire EMS and IMH EMS answered the call.  Freeman was treated at Iroquois Memorial Hospital. No other injury was reported.
