River Valley Recycling re-opening Iroquois County site

Spring clean-up may on the minds of several people. And – River Valley Recycling (RVR) is ready to help.

RVR owner Kyle Bruno tells WGFA-listeners the Route 24 location between Watseka and Crescent City, closed during the winter months, is opening for Spring business. It's re-opening Monday, April 4th.

The Winter months not always real busy, but then, commodity prices weren't real good either during 2015. Bruno says the good news is Iroquois County residents can again visit the local site.

Prices are rebounding. RVR is able to offer the highest buy-prices now over the last 7 months. Plus, Bruno adds, RVR is offering a Special Cash Bonus to the TOP 3 customers bringing in the most pounds of scrap during the first week open.

"Whoever brings in the most pounds of scrap between April 4 -9 will earn cash prizes," Bruno said. "It doesn't have to be hauled in one stop. We'll accumulate your pounds all week."

First prize is $75 cash, 2nd place is $40 and 3rd place $25. The competition is for the Iroquois County location ONLY.
