Like parades ? Plenty of ‘em to see this weekend…

If you’re a fan of holiday parades, there’s quite a choice for this Labor Day Weekend. Kankakee and Vermilion Counties have featured parades scheduled. There’s also the Earl Park Fall Festival Parade in Benton County, IN.

Herscher’s Labor Day Parade is Monday. It’s part of the 98th Herscher Labor Day Celebration. Monday’s parade is at 10:30 am. The celebration runs Saturday thru Monday. Most activities are in the village park.

Hoopeston has its National Sweet Corn Festival Parade at 10:30 Saturday morning. Many other events are at McFerren Park thru the weekend. The Hoopeston Jaycees are celebrating its 75th Sweet Corn Festival.

Danville’s Labor Day Parade begins at 9:30 Monday morning. The 83rd Annual Danville Labor Day Parade is sponsored by the Vermilion County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO.

Westville’s 108th Annual Labor Day Parade is Monday at 11:30 a.m. St. Mary’s Church and the Westville Lion’s Club coordinate the festivities. A Car Show is included at 4 pm Saturday.

The annual Earl Park Fall Festival will include its parade Monday.
