A store-clerk alerted police about a man armed with a knife in Watseka.  Watseka Police (Thursday) arrested 42-year-old Patrick Laird for aggravated assault and disoderly conduct. 

The clerk told police she was threatened with a knife by a customer in the 500-block of E. Walnut Street.  Police used a surveillance video to identify the suspect as a local resident.  After he was located, polcie also charged Lairs with possession of a controlled substance.
