A high speed chase on Illinois Route 1 in Vermilion County Tuesday ended in a crash. Two police squad cars were wrecked.

Westville police responded to reports of a reckless driver southbound near Westville. That was at about 2:30 pm. Police reported speeds u tp 100 mph.

An unidentified female driver would not stop for police. She continued south into Georgetown, running into police vehicles from Georgetown and Westville.

No one was injured. The driver was in custody and police reported she will undergo a psychiatric evaluation. The case is being reviewed by the state attorney's office.
