Forecasters at the National Weather Service say strong winds ahead of a cold front will help bring some warmer air into the area Wednesday.
High temperatures will near 60 degrees. That's about ten degrees warmer than the last several days.
The front will also bring rain to central Illinois. Showers are expected to arrive early Wednesday morning. Showers will persist through Wednesday with a few thunderstorms possible. Rain totals are anticipated to range from .25" to .75" and severe weather is not expected.
