Carle Foundation Hospital has being recognized for ''providing outstanding performance in the delivery of a positive experience for patients during their hospital stay.''

Healthgrades has awarded Carle the 2016 Outstanding Patient Experience Award. It means Carle is in the top 10-percent of hospitals in the nation delivering outstanding patient service.

Healthgrades evaluated 3,858 hospitals that submitted at least 100 patient experience surveys to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Healthgrades then awarded 448 hospitals with the 2016 Outstanding Patient Experience Award.
